There Is No Spoon
No Internet for the past week due to some problems with the router; I fixed it while the landlords are out for their daughter's wedding. Is that Geek Squad material?
Also, the electricity went out for a whole day here. The electric company was supposed to shut off the power for the house next to us, but they made a mistake and shut ours off instead.
All these problems with technology made me realize just how dependent I am on things like computers, TV, and Internet. I was literally dying without them. Then I see a show on MTV called "The 70's House" - has anyone seen that show? It's horrible - which goes on to further prove that we can't live without current technology. We are children weaned on digital milk, extracted from the matrix. I dunno what the hell that means either.
I'm about 3/4 of the way through Chuck Palahniuk's Choke. (Yes, I started reading it this week because of what happened.) I'm liking it so far, but I'm starting to see through the pattern in his writing. I still like his style, though. He must have some childhood issues...
